Chirag Mehta
Being an architect by profession and an artist by passion, I have been working on devising various methods and algorithms to marry mathematics and aesthetics. Once a synergy is achieved I seek to enliven them in tactical world by medium of architecture, industrial design and sculpture.
The basic shape is formed by combining two equilateral triangles with their sides in golden ratio. This shape is fractally tesellated into the same shape, its mirror and a trapezium. These tiles are further divided fractally 5 times. Each tile type is assigned a color - cyan, magenta and yellow. The ultimate artwork is a fractal melange of these three basic colors. Thus the name Phi-Tri-CMY.
