I teach a first year seminar on The Art of Mathematics and have been using Geometer's Sketchpad for class assignments. This tool allows me to create images that I don't have the technical skill to produce by hand. I enjoy experimenting with different shapes and transformations to see what appears.
This piece was created using repeated dilation of squares within squares and then a rotation of 45 degrees. The flower that appears in the center of the piece was a lovely surprise.
