Bojana Ginn

As an artist and as a former MD and biologist, I create multimedia works that are conceptually based in the biology of DNA, and formally expressed as video-sculptures. By taking motion photographs of these video-sculptures, I create a composition of lines, shadings, and rich hues.

Linear forms in my photographs reflect not only various DNA forms, but also reveal astonishing parallels to the formalisms of Braid Group and Mathematical Knot Theory,theories both used by mathematicians in the study of DNA.
