The thirteen sculptures shown in this photo are based on arcs of circles that have been given some width and depth. Mathematically, the individual shapes could be cut from cylinders, such that there is an inner radius, an outer radius, some number of degrees, and some thickness. These forms are stacked in various ways to form sculptures that I find harmonious. Many of these sculptures have mirror symmetry about a vertical plane.
