I am interested in broad potential applications of tessellation /
geometric patterns for education in lower elementary.
I have been developing various educational materials as puzzles for
pupils to effectively obtain fundamental idea of geometry and art
through play.
This time I present an update on my previous triangular puzzle,
Mt.Fuji and Kakigori, and its demonstrative works with additional
colorful and see-through pieces.
Another mosaic pattern with regular triangles of eight types for a snapper. Under the sunlight, colored see-through mosaic pattern sparkles and shines like stained glass frame.
A mosaic pattern of period flowers is drawn with 288 congruent
regular triangles surrounded by a hexagonal frame.
Six different types of pieces are used for the pattern, however,
the designs of the pieces are equivalent under color and rotation
transformations to each other.
