Michael Schultheis Art
Seattle, Washington, USA
I use the timeless language of mathematics to create models that explore what it means to be fully human. My inspirations include Archimedes, Albrecht Dürer, Leonardo di Vinci, and other artists who were also mathematicians. I am inspired by all those who cross the boundaries of art and science and seek to create something the world has never seen before. Rather than just paint the geometric shapes that I use to tell my stories, I choose to include the equations from which those forms are derived. Those who know math can see the geometry in their own minds. This is true conceptual geometry in art.
