Statement

Indira Chatterji is a geometric group theorist, presently working at Université de Nice in France as a professor. She started illustrating groups in an attempt to make general audience talks on geometric group theory more enticing to a wider audience.

Artworks

The universal cover of a genus two surface glued to a torus along a simple closed geodesic. This is an example of a CAT(0) space with isolated flats.
