I enjoy mathematics, tessellations, computer programming, wood working, and video production. It has been fun to put it all together to create entertaining and instructive software and videos.

This video shows how I used my computer software, TesselManiac!, and a laser cutter to create beautiful magnetic wooden tiles to decorate metal surfaces, in this case a refrigerator and a file cabinet. It includes figurative tessellations that illustrate several different isohedral tile types, a morphing algorithm, woodworking, and a little humor. The video features tessellations by Jos Leys, M. C. Escher, and Alain Nicolas. It also features music by Walach and Buttery, “Not Your Usual Mandolin and Tuba Duo”.
