Using common materials and recycled objects, I try to find new ways of combining simple shapes into mathematically inspired works of art.
A spherical rhombicosidodecahedron model built out of twelve
identical, intertwined circles.
Each circle is formed from a recycled piano string.
The title is of the piece is inspired by the material used and by
fact that 12, the number of notes in the chromatic scale, plays an
important role in music.
