Statement

My art is about my fascination about mathematics. I explore the beauty of mathematical structures. The material I use varies from digital images, to objects made in paper, wood or acrylics, to animations. In the work 'Knot in a cube', several things come together. A knot, the 7-3-knot that can be recognized, is made of 14 pieces, which are connected to each other with angles of 90 degrees. The total construction of the 14 pieces has the shape of a Platonic solid: the cube.
