Statement

Origami is my greatest passion. I created my first designs by experimenting with freehand folds on paper and seeing if I liked the results. My current work now involves precise calculations, and I generate the crease patterns for my designs on a computer. Mathematics, science, nature, and color theory serve as inspiration for all my works. I love all things bright and colorful, and paper is a great medium to express that love.

This origami design is based on the 10-uniform tiling with vertex configuration [3⁶, 3³.4², (3².4.3.4)3, 3².4.12, 3².6², 3.4².6, 3.4.6.4, 6³]. The crease pattern was generated using code written by David Goncharov and Marcus Michelen as detailed in our short paper "Automatic Origami Crease Pattern Generation from k-uniform Tilings." I chose to fold a cropped rectangular portion of the tiling for the sake of complexity, but all 10 types of vertex are still present. This design consists of 1612 line segments. It was scored by machine then folded by hand from one uncut rectangle of stardream paper.
