Golden Approximation
8in x 10in
acrylic paint
2010
The painting depicts the approximation of a golden spiral. Because of the medium and artistic interest, the spiral was not generated digitally and was sketched roughly then painted to represent the idea of noise and approximation. The additional spirals were painted to add a looseness to this effect and to incorporate the (traditionally) complementary colors of blue and orange.
