Statement
One of my interests consists in connecting simple shapes into mathematically-inspired art objects. These objects might take the form of jewelry pieces or lamps but the piece presented here just stands by itself.

Ceci est un cube (hommage à René Magritte)
16 x 16 x 16 cm
Plastic (PVC)
2016
Inspired by the famous painting of another Belgian, a cube-shaped model of a mucube, a regular infinite polyhedron.
It is made by connecting 576 (roughly) square plastic pieces that are cut using a CNC machine.
The pieces have a side of 2.5cm; the letter pieces have a second, metallic layer.
The same inscription appears on all sides of the cube.
