Statement
The icosahedron is a regular theme in my efforts to interact with the digital realm. It is subject matter for my digital 'still lives'. A proving ground for each new digital brush. With this iteration on the icosahedron I select and paint icosahedral derived surfaces with self-referential textures and then I present them as a triptych of symmetry axes projections. What is new for me is I have improved my understanding of both accuracy and resolution. As a result these prints are my most detailed yet.

At Play in the Fields of an Icosahedron 2

Digital Print archival paper and inks
2017
A repeating series of 3 icosahedral models are painted with semi transparent patterns derived from an icosahedron. These patterns, cyclons are projected onto: 1. a spherical icosahedron and 2. groups of surfaces derived from sectioning an icosahedron, internally tangent to a sphere. This triptych places the 2-fold symmetry at the centre.
