Statement

Marc was exploring periodic and quasi-periodic islamic tilings with up to 14-fold symmetry, often with inflation/deflation symmetry. These "tiled floors" could be "bumped up" into 3D zonohedral architectural modules, using a technique that was lost during the middle ages, and rediscovered by Marc's associate, Jay Bonner. The modules can also tile the plane, in a way that puts most grid-based city planning to shame. When contemplating these images, please remember Zometool inventor and hyperspace pioneer Marc Pelletier, whom we lost on November 6th, 2017. He is greatly missed by those of us who knew him and worked with him.
