Manuel Diaz Regueiro
Two themes this year. First: Proyection of a planar mosaic. Second: Hilbert's Curve.
Instead of squaring a circle, this artwork is the insertion into a sphere, the spherification of a rectangle Also remember the projection in the spherical cave of Plato of a mosaic floor
DIA BAS (the death's god in celtic Galician) because it is a
mathematical derivation of the Hilbert's Curve, the ashes
renaissance of the Hilbert curve.
There are several magics in this transformation of a curve that fills the plane in another that -almost- describes a human figure. There is no symmetry in the Hilbert curve. Here we have a figure with lateral symmetry. Galician magic.
