Statement

This work, designed and created for the eipiphiny Society, is a visual attempt to creatively capture the spirit of Euler's most beautiful equation e**(i*pi) + 1 = 0. While incorporating the mathematical constants of e, pi, 'the imaginary number' i and the rational numbers 1 and 0, the Golden Ratio phi (itself an ancient measure of beauty), encompasses Euler's Identity as a testament to its mathematical elegance.

Utilizing silicone molds, this urethane molding has been hand cast and finished to a smooth surface with the intention of becoming a 'desktop' reminder of the beauty of mathematics.
