This video describes a puzzle I designed which uses the concept of holonomy in its design. Holonomy is the phenomenon in which an object that travels around a loop in a curved space comes back rotated. In this puzzle, a piece trapped inside a maze may or may not be blocked from moving along a pathway, depending on its rotation. The piece is prevented from rotating in place, but can rotate by traveling around loops. This means that the maze is four times bigger than it at first appears.
