Statement
Marcello Calabresi is a software engineer and an artist devoted to research of interesting shapes coming from modularity. Most of his artworks are made using cardboard or pvc sheets cut with geometric insight and computer manipulated tools. Born and raised in Italy, he lives and works in the sunny south of France.
Artworks
Tribute to one of the works by Maurits Cornelius Escher, a print known as "Triangle System number 103" in the series "Symmetry" (1959).
This is a patchwork made with identical interlocking modules cut from colored pvc sheets.
No glue is needed to keep these modules together.
