Statement
I explore the aesthetic potential of neuroimaging by deriving tessellations from anatomical drawings, EEG, and MRI. I use Adobe Capture to create the patterns, which I then color by hand in mixed-media

Kaleidoscopic Brain
33 x 33 cm
Digital print on paper, canvas, resin, acrylic
2021
This work was inspired by kaleidoscopes and neuroimaging, specifically, MRI. The piece was created using the Adobe Capture pattern tool to create a tessellation, from which the main design element was isolated and enlarged, printed, primed with acrylic on canvas, painted with resin, and framed. Uniquely, this painting is circular rather than square.
