Statement
A “shape” is the theme of our works. Some shapes found in mathematics and science are not usually seen. Making such structures is fun and convey vivid feelings. This time, we will focus on clifford torus, famous structures in astrophysics.
Artworks
A rainbow doughnut resembling a Clifford torus. This is one model from a 3D puzzle “RUPA Geometric Art”. It is made of a single piece of cut-out plastic sheet. The net is roughly rectangular in shape, having a series of sigmoidal holes within and a series of tabs line along the top and bottom edges. By twisting the sheet and connecting the tabs internally (no tools or glues required), a rainbow doughnut is ready for you. The colorful ring spirals bring you to mathematical beauty.
