Statement
Oluwatosin Babasola is a PhD student at the University of Bath, United Kingdom. His interest span across dynamical systems and how mathematical models can be used to predict how the climate will change in the future. Chris Budd is a British mathematician known especially for his contribution to non-linear differential equations and their applications in industry. He is currently Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Bath, and Professor of Geometry at Gresham College. Yang Zhou is a PhD student at the University of Bath and UK Met Office. Her research uses numerical methods and deep learning to understand and forecast solar wind and certain extreme events, e.g. electromagnetic storms.

A double pendulum that illustrate a chaotic behaviour that exists in many natural systems such as weather and climate. This behaviour describes how a small change in one state of a system can result in large differences in a later state. In particular, this shows a scenario where the present determines the future, but the approximate present does not approximately determine the future. So, starting the pendulum from a slightly different initial condition would result in a vastly different trajectory which is shown in the chaotic image of the pendulum.
