As a mathematician and sculptor, I try to show people the fun and creative sides of mathematics.

This video presents two new ways to make a hyperboloid: first from thin laser-cut slats bolted together and then from laser-cut paper strips woven together. Details of the methods are explained in my 2023 Bridges paper, "Curved yet Straight: Stick Hyperboloids".
