Statement

AlgoArt.org is a digital platform that brings together Artists and Technologists to create drawing algorithms that generate visual designs and artworks. In this short film, we demonstrate the creation process of nine such drawing algorithms. For each drawing algorithm, we display an artwork as an animation next to the corresponding list of parameters that were used to generate it. The drawing algorithms that generate these artworks are based on procedural processes that draw lines and basic shapes onto a digital canvas. These procedural processes were inspired by mathematical concepts, natural phenomena, and artistic trends, but contain many parameters to allow for image variation.
