Statement

My artwork is very much a journey of discovery into the Platonic realm which is enabled by taking geometric constructions and algorithms and implementing them computationally. The designs I find are often not my own in same way that Benoit Mandelbrot did not decide on the shape of the fractal he discovered.

Artworks

A quasicrystal in two dimensions made using the cut-projection method for generating aperiodic tilings. This particular (triangular) tiling is derived as a selection of the eight-dimensional E8 lattice orthogonally projected onto a Coxeter plane wherein the projected vertices exhibit 14-fold rotational symmetry.
