Statement
This work is an exploration of mathematical pop-ups that are 2-dimensional when closed, but unfold to more complex structures. For example, the hypercube card is flat when closed, but, when opened, unfolds into a three-dimensional "drawing" of a four-dimensional cube.

This work is a card stock box containing a set of mathematical pop-up cards that viewers may pick up and unfold. The piece pictured here is a card stock pop-up card that, when opened, unfolds to a 3-D orthographic projection of a four-dimensional cube. Other pop-ups (not pictured) include 3-dimensional polyhedra and other curious constructions.
