Statement

I am an Associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of North Florida. I have enjoyed crocheting and knitting since my childhood. During the time I spent at home isolated from everyone due to COVID-19, I started crocheting mathematical objects to stay busy and to stay connected to math.

Artworks

In my art here, two Mobius circles with opposite orientations are joined together by a zipper to form a Klein bottle. As the Mobius circles are being zipped together, movement of the surfaces and construction of the Klein bottle can be observed.
