Statement
My art is deeply rooted in mathematics, patterns, and the beauty of simplicity. Through cutting, creasing, and curving paper, I create three-dimensional forms that cast striking shadows, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. Each piece is a journey of exploration, celebrating both my successes and the valuable lessons learned along the way.

Zen-Triangles
17.0 x 17.0 x 17.0 cm
Paper, ink, and glue
2024
The "Zen-Triangles" paper sculpture draws inspiration from the intricate relationship between creativity and mathematics. This geometric solid is crafted from folded paper modules, each face adorned with hand-drawn Zentangle patterns. With 36 unique triangular faces, the sculpture showcases a variety of designs that reflect individuality and expression. The addition of shading enhances the illusion of depth, inviting viewers to explore the interplay of light and form.

Woven Zen-Circles
28.0 x 28.0 cm
Woven & cut paper, ink and markers
2024
“Woven Zen-Circles” is a celebration of creativity and mindfulness, merging the tactile beauty of woven paper with the detailed artistry of Zentangle patterns. Each section of the circular weave showcases a distinct design, meticulously drawn with fine markers and ink. The use of various shades of gray enhance the intricacy of each design, creating a dynamic sense of movement and depth. The patterns range from intricate geometric shapes to flowing, organic motifs, reflecting different aspects of my creative journey.
