Biography

My work explores the intersection of mathematics, art and design. It focuses on geometric systems, digital form-making and tactile outcomes. I focus on translating abstract mathematical ideas into visual and physical experiences. This has led me to design puzzles and mathematical artworks that combine structural clarity with interaction. These interests began in childhood with a strong inclination toward visual arts, mathematics, and philosophy. I consider these three as my guiding forces. I studied architecture in India, which expanded my exposure to artists, architects, sculptors and mathematicians. I later qualified as an Architect (Part 3) from The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL in London. This journey shaped my approach to experimentation with colour, form, and structure. My work seeks to bring these influences together and create balance as ideas move into the tactile world.

Intrex

3D printed Nylon, recycled fabric.

Intrex is a transformable jewellery piece designed to shift between a pendant and a chain. On some days one might feel introverted and want to be by themselves, while on other days, one might feel extroverted and want to socialize, opening themselves up to new dimensions. This jewellery provides a medium to respond to, and express those feelings. The piece can transform from being a subtle cubic pendant to a bold linked necklace. Intrex is 3D printed with nylon. The cord is made with recycled fabric and neodymium magnets . When the magnetic ends are gently pulled apart, the cube unfolds into a linked chain, changing the character of the piece from subtle to expressive. The integral of 3x^2 is equal to x^3 + C. Using this concept, the jewellery captures the essence of infinite summation. An outline frame of three squares (3x^2) in orthogonal planes is constructed. Further, smaller versions of these frames are nested and hinged to the previous frame to form a cube (x^3).
