Statement

I see math as the language of magic - the language with which the world was wrought. Spelling out math equations to manifest color patterns that follow the nature of reality (as described by the math), feels like doing magic. When I first encountered graphing equations on graphing calculators in high school, that was the moment I went from disinterest in math to fascination in math. And I hope that my art brings more mathematical fascination to more people. To this end, I share some of the core magic behind my art as a free app called https://fuzzygraph.com. FuzzyGraph is the world's first non-binary graphing calculator. I see math as God's Art, and I see all of the Universe (including you) as God's Art.

Additional info

This is one of my favorite section of the Mandelbrot set, which is a literally infinitely expansive mathematical landscape (all from the simple little equation z equals z^2+c). To find this shape in the Mandelbrot set, you have to zoom in about 80 Billion times in just the right place.

Additional info

There is a hidden star in the center of this piece, and the colorful stellar rays remind me of the colors I see when looking at the sun behind the trees. This is a wave interference pattern which works similar to ripples in water. Star light... star bright... first star I see today: thank you for your solar rays / thank you for your solar rays.
