Statement

My work explores geometric patterns found in nature, traditional art, and architecture, drawing on these sources to construct a visual language consisting of simple forms, repetition, precision, and linearity. The works are a deeper investigation into the mathematical insights and symmetry systems at play, as well as the transformative power of seeing beyond the surface. Embracing both structure and spontaneity, I continue to evolve my practice and invite viewers to experience a space where mathematical clarity creates a contemplative exploration of forms.

III is part of a series of mathematical drawings exploring the symmetry systems central to traditional Islamic geometric patterns. Rooted in a sixfold pattern drawn from historic architectural ornament, the composition was constructed using a compass and straightedge in white ink on paper, revealing the disciplined logic behind each line and intersection.

IV is a continuation of a series of mathematical drawings exploring the symmetry systems central to traditional Islamic geometric patterns. The artwork was inspired from a classic fourfold pattern drawn from historic architectural ornament, constructed using a compass and straightedge, revealing the disciplined logic behind each line and intersection.
