Statement

My work is about hidden worlds. I make geometric and abstractive works in various traditional media, addressing subjects such as topology and tiling.

Additional info

A surface-tiling curve slices a tetrahedron into two mirrored folded shapes. This work is based on my 2023 Bridges short paper on surface-tiling curves, and is an example of slicing a polyhedron shell with a path which produces mirrored nets.

Additional info

A three-hexagon structure repeats to form a lattice made of knots. A painted wood panel makes up the background with cut paper pieces as the knots and lines. This piece is an example of interlocking knot diagrams tiling the plane, while also giving the appearance of coplanar 2-dimensional objects overlapping.
