Statement

Damping Coefficient 2024 is a continuation of Algebraic Relativization of Geometry 2022. After working with oscillating circles, I developed a fascination with oscillation of damping coefficient flattened in two dimensions. It is evaluated as collinear points at intersection by employing straight lines. There is a particular nature in the system of wave curvature force as the oscillation dissipates. The system of damping coefficient is a measure and how it returns to rest in my observation during linear construct. There is static equilibrium whereby the system exhibits oscillatory behavior which allows for discovery in planning the picture. The damping ratio in the decay is non-dimensional.

Additional info

Cardioid with Parabola 2024 is a continuation of the recurring theme Limacon done in 1998 which was exhibited at A&M 1998, Berkeley as my first Giclee canvas print. This Cardioid with Parabola is the result of drawing with linear discovery of many collinear intersections whereby I continually draw on a daily basis. Virtual representation of my recent works has freed much of my time that would have been devoted to actual stretching/ painting on canvas. Jobbing out printing where the Printer, stretches the canvas making my life much easier work wise. The attached virtual image was done from my jpeg file as 84 x 90 inches by my daughter Flo Singer. Mathematically, the linear construct lends to the aesthetic beauty.
