Statement
I am a high school student taking calculus. I am interested in math because of the beauty of its process. I try to understand functions and their behaviors through art. Recently I have become interested in the concept of infinite and undefined slopes.

This painting depicts the function r= θ tan (θ) on the polar graph. I was interested in capturing the intense energy of this function that made me drawn to it. I surrounded the frame of with black to highlight the function and slightly curve the canvas in order to reference the polar graph.
