Statement
Studio 3P was founded by Joseph DeVries as a vector towards creative pursuits and collaboration with other designers, artists, and passionate makers. At Studio 3P creating balanced and geometrically sound designs that appeal to aesthetics as well as function is the primary goal. Constantly exploring new processes and materials, the intersection of ideation and computer driven machines is where we find creative bliss.

Tesselearth
Artists - Joseph DeVries (Studio 3P) and Stepan Drunks
In "Tesselearth" we present two relative obelisk forms that encapsulate the idea that finding resolution in the natural world can be simple and straight forward, and it can require a more complicated transformation. As so in math, sometimes the equation is elegant and straight forward, while other times overly complex to achieve the same result. The medium of 3D printed ceramic lends itself well to this concept due to its inherent organic and somewhat subtly flawed physical attributes while also following a distinct calculable path.
Send Me a Sine
Artist - Joseph DeVries (Studio 3P)
"Send Me a Sine" was originally created as a planter design to represent the natural cycle of coming and going to placed near the entrance of my home. During the design process the sine wave felt like the perfect accent to represent this periodic function and as the design was to occupy a right-angled corner, the trigonometric relevance of the sine wave felt all the more appropriate.
