Statement
My name is Owen Rohm and I hope to create art that makes people go "hey wait a second, that's pretty cool!" and forget about their troubles for a little while. There are plenty of things to marvel at in this world, and as an artist I strive to bring those things to light.

TS-000a is the first in a series of parametrically designed ... structures?
I've been fascinated by tensegrity ever since I heard of the concept. Buckminster Fuller coined the term as a portmanteau of "tension" and "integrity", referring to the way in which tense members can (surprisingly) hold rigid members in place
The 000a was originally meant to be a small stool, but wound up being used as a coffee table instead. Because the TS series was modeled parametrically, I am able to edit a few inputs in the modeling software to produce a series of stools, tables, and benches with relative ease. Only the 000a exists in reality at full scale at the moment, but there is a collection of renderings of other pieces on my website.
