Statement
I graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, in 2016 with my bachelors in math and academic physics with a minor in studio art, and I am currently pursuing an online bachelors in computer science through the University of the People. My intentions as an artist are to share and explore the beauty of mathematical physics through sculpture, using a wide variety of media including alcohol ink, Mylar plastic film, acrylic rod, 3D-printed PLA, thread, beads, and colored cardstock.

Wave Superposition Study
9.0 x 9.0 x 60.0 cm
Cardstock, acrylic rod, plastic drinking straws, rubber bands, glue
2025
These studies are effectively exploded animations showing the motion of three "subwaves," each with randomly generated values for amplitude, wave number, angular frequency, and phase shift, and a fourth "main wave" created by the superposition of the other three waves. Each study also has an accompanying flipbook, allowing the motion of each to be viewed in greater detail than the twelve frames in the static sculpture. This sculptural technique evolved out of an earlier work from 2018 depicting a solution to the Schrödinger equation.
