Statement

As a creator, I explore the intersection of mathematics, structure, and aesthetic form, transforming geometric principles into expressive sculptures. My work, showcased on Instagram @polyhedrist, investigates the beauty of polyhedra, uncovering unexpected relationships. I am passionate about experimental design and engineering, drawn to how precision and play interact in creative processes, and gleefully bounce between and merge digital and analog media. I am fascinated by technology’s dual role in human life—both symbiotic and antagonistic, seductive and threatening. My practice reveals the elegance of mathematical art—inviting others to see, touch, and question the technological structures shaping our world.

Aluminum composite panels, bent aluminum brackets, stainless steel legs

2025

My exploration and practice of polyhedra construction continues to inspire new ways of seeing and constructing mathematical forms. This sculpture, primarily composed of CNC'ed yellow aluminum composite panels held together with arrays of bent aluminum brackets, extrudes the edges of the pentagonal icositetrahedron into arcing blades, opening up a view to the center that seems to transform as the viewer moves around the piece. Reminiscent of an explosion or a flower, this piece is resonant both emotionally and technically.
