In my free work as designer, I like formresearch of geometrical forms. I take a sheet of paper and start drawing, cutting, folding and taping. I like the way you make three dimensional objects from two dimensional material. After making forms of paper, I will make them from other materials. Sometimes they become a piece of furniture or a lamp.

Stuklicht (stuk = piece, part) is a hanging light made of identical modules. These modules are made of white, translucent polypropylene and laser cut. You have to fold them yourself and hook them together.
With Stuklicht you can make hanging lights with different shapes and measures. The shapes are origami based. You can take the modules apart, to use them to build another lamp.
This one is made of 16 modules. The form can be made of a square, folded in 8 x 8 smaller squares and their diagonals.
The basic module of Stuklicht is a square of 27 x 27 cm.

When 7 equilateral triangles meet in 1 point you get trouble. There is not enough space on a flat surface. The surface starts to twist and twirl.
But you can make some composed polyhedra. This one starts with an Archimadic antiprism (3 3 3 4). On top of that an Archimadic prism (3 4 4). On the squares, you can put antiprisms again. And this you can repeat, sometimes you have to choose in which direction the form grows. In all corner points seven triangles meet.
There are also other composed polyhedrons, where 7 equilateral triangles meet in 1 point.
