Statement
Mixing math with art makes me happy. The two seem to be related. Art shows what math already knows. Standing behind my father's antique - but indestructible - drawing table, every drawing I make starts playfully and ends with a new insight. And along the way I usually get stuck somewhere. Then I like to send up a prayer, plain and simple, for help from above. It’s all part of the process. Never a dull moment, when you walk the unwritten path.

Morphotheque revised

Ink and goldleaf on drawing paper

Architects like to work with a set of basic shapes, which they call a morphotheque.
It consists of distinctly different elements. Closely related to each other to create an important sense of unity.
The model you see is designed like an electrical circuit. The three basic parts ‘1/F’, ‘1‘ and ‘F’ are composed as if they were resistors, that is: in series and/ or parallel.
The quotient of 466 / 288 is chosen (as a good approximation) for the value of 'F'. The thus derived sequence of nine elements (on a scale of 288 :1) is: 89 144 178 233 288 356 466 576 932.
A fun fact: the golden square contains the same area as each of the eight golden rectangles.
A little rose has been added as an ode to Fibonacci.
