Statement
I create art prints of impossible geometries, where the floors can suddenly turn into roofs, the roofs can turn into walls, and the meanings of "above" and "below" become increasingly uncertain. The paradoxical spaces featured within my artworks challenge our traditional understanding of 3-dimensional space and invite the viewer to wonder: What if reality worked a bit differently? To develop my artworks, I use digital 3D modelling software, where I can seamlessly blend mathematical models with artistic tools, to create the illusion of solid 3-dimensional figures with uncertain heights, direction, and depth.

Lost Geometry V

This work explores the wanderings of a man lost in a world of impossible figures, in search of a goal to pursue. During his wanderings, he is confronted with a nonsensical reality where there are no clear paths or directions to follow, and yet, while he is not able to understand the world around him, he continues to move forward, searching for his goal within the paradox that he lives in.
Mathematically, this work explores the idea of a geometrical figure with ambiguous "height." If we measure the figure by using the vertical pillars, we find that there are three distinct height levels; however, if we instead measure the height using the red line that crosses the figure, we would find only one height level.
