Stefano Arrighi

A luminous kaleidoscope, meticulously sculpted from a single block of acrylic, harnessing the principles of icosahedral symmetry. Light, unable to escape, is absorbed and reflected within the material, in a choreography that transforms transparency into a dynamic field of shifting geometries. Without the use of mirrors, but thanks to the total internal reflection phenomenon, the piece generates an ever-evolving spatial illusion, culminating in the crystalline form of a Rhombic Triacontahedron. An exploration of perception, materiality, and the unseen architectures of light.
