Statement
Retired Computer Scientist, University of Lille (France). I try to extract tangible objects based on mathematical principles. Mathematics are either the center of the artworks (like my cyclids, for example), or only a constraint that guide my production, in the same spirit as Oulipo guided French writers in their artworks (Raymond Queneau, Georges Perec ..)
Artworks

Trompe l'oeil -- Détrompe l'oeil
40.0 x 60.0 x 0.5 cm
Acrylics on canvas, Fimo clay, wood
2026
A Trompe-l'oeil in the shape of a Cabinet of Curiosities. Each cell is a square with integer side (3,5,6,11,17,19,22,23,24,25), and all together the ten cells tile a 47x65 units rectangle.
Working against the flow, I decided to transform this 2D trompe l'oeil into a real tridimensionnal object, illustrating yet another mathematical concept : involution.
