Statement
I'm an artist, thinker, mathematician, collage artist, and illustrator. My practice focuses on archival inquiry and found materials. I blend analog actions with digital processing to connect parallel worlds that follow their own unique sets of rules. I am also an author; half of my books present mathematical concepts in highly unconventional ways. Having graduated in both mathematics and fine arts, I feel empowered to speak about math through a visual language in a truly out-of-the-box way. Born and based in Warsaw, Poland, I’m the mother of two extraordinary boys.

Paper Dolls Exercise II
50.0 x 60.0 x 2.0 cm
Traditional collage, pencil, digital collage, on canvas
2022
Paper dolls is a serie of paintings created in multiple stages. It all began with the discovery of a children’s book from 1907, filled with figures, outfits, and various accessories designed to be cut out and played with.
I decided to repurpose this collection. The costumes, characters, and all the individual elements served as the foundation for creating new worlds and new beings—mysterious entities whose identities and origins remain unknown. These figures become the protagonists of scenes where the plot is ambiguous; we do not know what happened before or what will happen next.
The accompanying texts take the form of the school exercises, echoing classroom assignments where we are asked to calculate data detached from real life.
